cHOROS - Public Open Space
cHOROS were commissioned by West Hertfordshire Crematorium to design a Babies Remembrance Garden for babies that are not born. It was not intended to contain cremated remains but to allow grieving parents a quiet space to visit and reflect.
cHOROS rose to the challenge by designing a smooth flowing curved path that wound the length of the linear site to create a voyage of discovery culminating in a pebble stream, pond and pergola.
The Garden incorporates scented plants, autumn colour and small delicate
flowers following a baby theme.
Today the sunlight glistens on the water and the pond and stream have
become home to a wide range of aquatic life and a water hole for local
