cHOROS - Planning

 

Granada Motorway Service Stations, primarily on the M1, A1.

cHOROS worked with other consultants to prepare feesiblity studies, new designs and to advise on the redevelopment of existing service stations all over the country.

cHOROS helped to develop the Granada new image and standard formats for new service area entrances, seating, play and residential areas.

Schemes included sites at Colsterworth, A1; Tamworth, M42; Swanwick, Derbyshire.

 

 

Bahrain South East Regional Development Study.

cHOROS was commissioned by Dar al Handasah to work with other consultants on the Bahrain South East Coast Regional Development Study.

The scheme extended from the coast across a ridge escarpment and included central business districts, residential areas, town centre parks, coastal promenades, dramatic water features,and a fairground and coastal train. Work was carried out in consultation with the Al Areen Wildlife Park.

Other planning work for Dar Al Handasah included the Second Manama Crossing, Bahrain.

Other work for Dar al Handasah included work in Jordan contributing to a landscape strategy for the Amman Comprehensive Development Plan. The Master Plan extended from the ‘v’ shape river valleys in the west, across central Amman to the desert in the east. The work was carried out in consultation with Amman University.

 

The Royal Gardens, Aqaba, Jordan.

The Royal Gardens Master Plan developed an area between the Jordanian western border with Eliat and Aqaba town centre.

The scheme provided an equestrian centre, botanic garden, corniche, fairground, childrens play areas and ornamental royal theme gardens close to the Kings summer Palace.

The scheme was presented to the, then Crown Prince and a copy of the Master Plan presented to Queen Noor.

cHOROS also assisted with the Tourist Study and Development of the South Coast Master Plan in Aqaba.
