Olympic Way Office Development, Wembley

cHOROS were commissioned to design the external area around new offices for Arunbridge. The new offices were to run alongside Olympic Way which leads to Wembley Stadium.

The challenge was to provide attractive scheme in a prestigious location with sufficient informal open space for the staff in the offices to relax in at lunchtime and a safe footpath route through the scheme whilst accommodating a large quantity of onsite car parking on a linear site. It was important that the scheme presented a soft landscape of winding paths, avenue trees, hedges, ornamental plants and gardens when viewed from above and from Olympic Way. 

cHOROS achieved this by providing a central water feature and focus to the scheme in the central area and attractive open gardens at either end. A winding footpath lead from one end of the site to the other through areas of tree and hedge planting which successfully concealed and ‘lost’ the potential impact of the cars.
